Blaine Bailey Honored as C.W. Wright’s Outstanding Apprentice

We are incredibly proud to announce that Blaine Bailey, Lineman 1st Class with C.W. Wright Construction Company's Central Distribution team, has been honored with the Outstanding Apprentice Award at the Virginia Works 7th Annual Apprenticeship Awards Luncheon on November 15, 2024.
Blaine was one of many outstanding apprentices recognized across Virginia, standing out from a pool of more than 700,000 statewide candidates for his exceptional hard work, dedication, and character.
Since joining C.W. Wright in 2018, Blaine has consistently gone above and beyond, leading by example both in the field and in the classroom. He follows in the footsteps of his father, Howard Bailey, whose own work helped pave the way for Blaine’s success in the utility industry.
Blaine’s commitment to safety, leadership, and mentorship makes him an invaluable part of our team. Always the first to arrive and the last to leave, Blaine brings positivity and integrity to every job he takes on.

C.W. Wright's Lineman Apprenticeship Program
At C.W. Wright, our mission is to provide lifelong, rewarding careers in the electrical utility industry. We achieve this through our state-of-the-art training program, which includes a 4-year (8,000-hour) Virginia Department of Labor and Industry approved apprenticeship. Our apprenticeship covers overhead distribution, underground, and transmission, emphasizing ET&D best practices. Additionally, we partner with community college programs to offer a head start. Once enrolled, apprentices benefit from on-the-job, classroom, and online training, overseen by field trainers. C.W. Wright also supports veterans by utilizing their GI Bill. Our goal is to lead the industry with our award-winning training and ensure every employee returns home safely.
